Day 1: Arrival in Delhi – Discover the Capital City

Your tour begins with your arrival in Delhi, a city where ancient history blends seamlessly with modern life.

Morning:

After checking into your hotel, begin exploring the highlights of Old Delhi. Start with a visit to the Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by Emperor Shah Jahan. The massive red sandstone structure served as the residence of Mughal emperors.

Visit Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in India, known for its impressive architecture and bustling surroundings. Then, take a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi’s lively market area, filled with spice shops, jewelry stores, and street food stalls.

Afternoon:

Explore New Delhi starting with a visit to Raj Ghat, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. Then, head to the majestic Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Humayun’s Tomb, another UNESCO-listed site that was a precursor to the Taj Mahal’s design.

Drive past India Gate, a war memorial dedicated to Indian soldiers, and Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s House), a symbol of British colonial architecture.

Evening:

Day 2: Delhi to Agra – The City of the Taj Mahal

Day 3: Agra to Jaipur via Fatehpur Sikri – The Abandoned Mughal Capital

Evening:

Spend the evening strolling through Johari Bazaar or Bapu Bazaar, where you can shop for traditional Rajasthani jewelry, textiles, and handicrafts. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 4: Jaipur – Explore the Royal City

Spend the day discovering Jaipur’s most famous landmarks and its rich Rajput heritage.

Morning:

Begin your day with a visit to the magnificent Amber Fort, located on a hilltop overlooking Maota Lake. You can ride an elephant or take a jeep up to the fort. Inside, explore the beautiful courtyards, the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), and the Diwan-i-Am (Hall of Public Audience). The architecture and artwork inside the fort are remarkable examples of Rajput craftsmanship.

On your way back to the city, stop at the Jal Mahal (Water Palace), which sits in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. Though visitors are not allowed inside, the view from the lakeshore is stunning.

Afternoon:

Visit the City Palace, a grand complex that houses museums filled with royal artifacts, textiles, and weapons. The palace is still home to the Jaipur royal family. Afterward, visit the nearby Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II. Evening:

End your day with a visit to the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a unique five-story building with 953 small windows. The palace was built so that royal women could observe street processions without being seen. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 5: Jaipur to Pushkar – The Sacred City

After breakfast, drive to the holy city of Pushkar, located about 3 hours from Jaipur. Pushkar is one of the oldest cities in India and is known for its sacred lake and the only Brahma Temple in the world.

Morning:

Upon arrival in Pushkar, check into your hotel and begin your exploration of the town. Visit the Brahma Temple, dedicated to Lord Brahma, the creator god in Hindu mythology. This is one of the few temples in the world dedicated to Brahma, and it holds great spiritual significance.

Afternoon:

Visit the holy Pushkar Lake, which is surrounded by 52 ghats (steps leading to the water). Pilgrims from all over the world come to bathe in the sacred waters, believed to cleanse sins and bring salvation. You can also visit the Varaha Temple, dedicated to the third incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

Evening:

Enjoy a peaceful sunset at one of the ghats, where you can witness devotees performing rituals and offering prayers. Day 6: Pushkar to Delhi via Ajmer

After breakfast, drive to Ajmer, a short 30-minute drive from Pushkar. Ajmer is famous for the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, the tomb of the Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. It is an important pilgrimage site for both Muslims and Hindus.

Morning:

Visit the Ajmer Sharif Dargah, where devotees from all faiths come to seek blessings. The tomb is adorned with gold and marble, and the atmosphere is filled with spiritual energy. You can also explore the Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra, an ancient mosque built in just two and a half days, known for its Indo-Islamic architecture.

Afternoon:

After exploring Ajmer, begin your drive back to Delhi, which takes about 5-6 hours. Upon arrival in Delhi, check into your hotel and relax.

Day 7: Delhi – Departure

After breakfast, spend your final day in Delhi at leisure. You can revisit any attractions, go shopping in the local markets, or explore other areas of the city like Connaught Place or Dilli Haat, where you can find handicrafts and traditional Indian goods.
