Description

Discover two of Rajasthan's most stunning cities: Jodhpur, also known as "The Blue City," and "The Pink City," Jaipur. Due to its affiliation with Delhi and Agra as part of the Golden Triangle, Jaipur is a very well-known tourist location. Two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Jantar Mantar, and the Amer Fort are also proudly located there. Formerly, Jodhpur, Rajasthan's second-largest metropolis after Jaipur, served as the capital of a princely state with Marwar as its capital. This city is home to many magnificent mansions as a result.  The proximity of this city to Rajasthan's geographic center makes travel to other parts of the state for visitors and businesspeople much simpler.  A look into the past royal lives is provided by the 5-days Jaipur-Jodhpur trip package.  It is a wonderful event that inspires you to think about Indian culture in general.

Tour Highlights

  • Visit Amber fort, Hawa Mahal, etc.
  • Enjoy Elephant ride in Jaipur.

Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur – The Pink City

Your tour begins with your arrival in Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan, where you’ll be greeted by the city’s warm, pink-hued architecture and rich history.

Morning:

After checking into your hotel, begin exploring the highlights of Jaipur. Start with a visit to the famous City Palace, a sprawling complex that houses several palaces, museums, and courtyards. The City Palace is still the residence of the Jaipur royal family and showcases a unique blend of Mughal and Rajput architecture.

Afterward, visit the nearby Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II. The observatory houses large instruments that were used to measure time, track celestial bodies, and observe astronomical phenomena.

Afternoon:

Head to the iconic Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a five-story structure with 953 small windows. The palace was built so that royal women could observe street festivals and life without being seen. From the top of the palace, you’ll get a beautiful view of Jaipur’s bustling streets and markets.

Evening:

In the evening, stroll through Johari Bazaar or Bapu Bazaar, where you can shop for traditional Rajasthani jewelry, textiles, and handicrafts. Jaipur’s markets are vibrant and full of local artisans selling their wares. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 2: Jaipur – Exploring the Royal Heritage

Spend the day exploring Jaipur’s majestic forts and surrounding countryside.

Morning:

Start your day with a visit to the stunning Amber Fort, located on a hilltop overlooking Maota Lake. You can reach the fort by jeep or enjoy an elephant ride up the ramparts. Inside the fort, explore the Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace), Diwan-i-Am (Hall of Public Audience), and the fort’s beautifully ornate courtyards and gardens. The intricate mirror work, frescoes, and Rajput architecture make Amber Fort one of Jaipur’s most impressive landmarks.

On your way back to the city, stop at the Jal Mahal (Water Palace), which sits in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. Although you cannot enter the palace, it’s a popular spot for photos, with its picturesque reflection in the lake’s waters.

Afternoon:

After lunch, visit the Nahargarh Fort, which offers panoramic views of Jaipur. The fort was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II and was originally meant to defend the city. Today, it’s a popular spot for locals and tourists to relax and enjoy the sunset.

Evening:

Return to the city and explore the local markets or indulge in a traditional Rajasthani dinner. For an authentic experience, you can visit Chokhi Dhani, an ethnic village resort that offers traditional Rajasthani food, folk dance performances, and cultural entertainment. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 3: Jaipur to Jodhpur – The Blue City

After breakfast, begin your drive to Jodhpur (approximately 5-6 hours), the second-largest city in Rajasthan, known for its blue-painted houses and towering fortresses.

Afternoon:

Upon arrival in Jodhpur, check into your hotel and relax after the journey. Jodhpur is affectionately known as the Blue City because of the indigo-colored houses that dot its landscape, particularly in the old city area near Mehrangarh Fort.

In the late afternoon, visit the Umaid Bhawan Palace, one of the world’s largest private residences and part of it is still home to the Jodhpur royal family. The rest of the palace has been converted into a luxury hotel and museum, showcasing royal artifacts, vintage cars, and the history of Jodhpur’s rulers.

Evening:

Spend your evening exploring the local markets, such as the Sardar Market near the Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower). The market is a great place to shop for spices, handicrafts, textiles, and traditional Rajasthani jewelry. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 4: Jodhpur – Explore the Blue City

Spend the day exploring Jodhpur’s rich history, forts, and local culture.

Morning:

Start your day with a visit to the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest and most formidable forts in India. Perched on a rocky hill, the fort offers stunning panoramic views of the city and the surrounding desert. Inside, you can explore beautifully preserved palaces, courtyards, and museums that showcase royal artifacts, costumes, and armory. Don’t miss the intricate Phool Mahal (Flower Palace) and Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace) within the fort.

Walk along the fort’s ramparts and enjoy the views of the blue houses below, which give Jodhpur its nickname. The fort’s museum provides insights into the history of the Marwar region and the life of its rulers.

Afternoon:

After visiting Mehrangarh Fort, head to the nearby Jaswant Thada, a white marble cenotaph built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Known as the Taj Mahal of Marwar, this beautiful structure is a peaceful place surrounded by lush gardens and small lakes. It serves as the cremation ground for the Jodhpur royal family.

After lunch, visit the Mandore Gardens, which is a short drive from Jodhpur. The gardens are home to cenotaphs (chhatris) of Marwar rulers, temples, and sculptures, all set within peaceful surroundings.

Evening:

End your day with a visit to the Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park, located near Mehrangarh Fort. The park is an ecologically restored area that showcases the natural flora of the Thar Desert. Enjoy a sunset walk through the park’s trails while learning about desert plants and local wildlife. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Jodhpur.

Day 5: Jodhpur to Jaipur – Departure

After breakfast, you’ll drive back to Jaipur (approximately 5-6 hours). Alternatively, you can opt for a flight or train back to Jaipur or even Delhi, depending on your departure plans.

Afternoon:

Upon arriving in Jaipur (or Delhi, depending on your travel plans), you can spend your final hours shopping for souvenirs, revisiting some of the city’s landmarks, or simply relaxing before your onward journey.

Evening:

You will be transferred to the airport or railway station for your departure, marking the end of your Jaipur-Jodhpur Tour.
